HEY, WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR LICENSE, K MART
In our fair town they moved the D M V
The choice that they made was not very smart
Must find a new question when we are peeved
Yes, all the new drivers, right from the start
The Blue Light Specials will flash from their sleeves
Though their driving skills may not be the best
When asked the question, they can answer YES.
Author notes
The DMV was moved from its central location in the city, to a closed K Mart on the West side. I don`t know if the question is local or national in scope.

I must admit to not being very tolerant toward careless/discourteous drivers on the road, especially when they appear to be teens or young 20-somethings. My mom laughs at how righteously indignant I get. That in mind, I can fully appreciate the humor of such a placement of the DMV! This piece definitely made me smile. Thanks so much for entering my contest!

its funny. i like it cuz its funny and cuz it rhymes really well. i am horible at rhyming so am typically impressed when people rhyme. yeah...anyway...nice write!!!
