that strong aroma I smell; coffee
thoughts of the workday gives me the blues.
Mood music drifts, I listen to blues,
movements staccato, for it's morning,
one thing I yearn for is my coffee.
Slowly inhale and sip sweet coffee
and maybe they'll disappear, these blues,
as I step out into the morning.
This day starts with morning coffee blues.

MY FIRST ATTEMPT LOL (9 syllables to each line)
The Tritina is a fun ten line poetry form. You can stop with just the ten lines or create additional sequences of ten lines to follow your first sequence. It is a great form to use when you wish to collaborate your writing with others.
The Tritina has no required meter, but whichever meter or syllable count you do choose, you should stick to it throughout the poem so you can maintain a good rhythm in your poem. The rhyme scheme is based on your selection of three words and follows the pattern of ABC CAB BCA with the final line using all three words to bring the order back to ABC.

Thank you for your entry
Ahh, I can relate, though I do not drink coffee, but that all important first soda of the day lol is my wake up call. Got to have my cafine hit. I certainly feel the moody morning blues lol
Really good job for your first attempt at this form. I think this contest really was a first for many at writing in this form. You did really good with it and the flow was great.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless
