Watching you bobing along
Eating in my grass
Free and humble you seem to be
Just watching you touches me
Little bird you are to kind
You do not worry where food you find
You trust the hand of thy Holy man
Who led us through the Promised Land
Oh little bird you bob along
Singing to me your sweet little song
You have reminded me of a principle
One that is quite simple
"If God feeds the birds how much more will he feed you"
Then you bob along and I have learned from you.

I like the reference to the Bible verse about the birds. You can find a similar verse in Luke 12:6-7. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows?
Thanks for your poem. Love the robins.
