What a pesky fellow,
filling my bird bath
with claws, entrails
and remnants of others.
Leaves the clean water
greasy, unfit for
other song birds
to drink or bathe in.
Chases the small ones away;
how I wish I could
make this one
leave and move elsewhere.
Don't think this creature
is on anyone's favorite list;
feeds on other's leftovers
and makes a mess.

Very well written tale of a pest of a bird, but even the bad ones have their place in the grand scheme of things.

tell him to get another bird condo or raise the rent. I am sure he will soon leave. Congrats on your honorable mention.

Oh my, what a clever write. I agree, his big black bird is very hard to love (even like). They tend to be mean to others and not play well in the "sandbox".
I have seen smaller song birds pick on him and chase him away. Kind of like the smaller birds chase hawks and attack them. They gang up on them and keep attacking. Eventually the bigger birds move on to a safer place.
Gret job.

I like this. It has a nice rhyme tone to it. The grammar and all are in order. A nice work here

oooooooooooooh, poor baby ...
I will adopt him !!!
just send him over my way, I just love all those whom nobody likes ...
although I do understand your concern ...
we don't have many crows/ravens here, but there are magpies who do more or less the same job ...
but somehow, I love them, too ...
a masterfully written verse from your talented pen,
