When I look into the mirror I see fine lines,
Around my eyes, around my lips.
The years have traced them
With their fingertips.
There are fine lines between
the simplest things:
the good, the bad,
the hopeful, and the sad,
between the laughter and the tears,
they weave their way through all the years.
There are fine lines between love and hate,
what we want now, and what's worth the wait,
between the young and the old,
between what's real, and what you've been told.
There are fine lines between war and peace,
One is always with us, one, just out of reach.
Decisions that we make along the way,
whether to go, whether to stay,
determine just how deep
the lines may reach.
In the end we are all defined,
by fine lines.

Interesting way to use this metaphor of lines and life. Think others think about this now and then too.
