Did You Ever

We all learn things within our life,
only some of us have a little harder time.
Being unaware of what goes on around you every day,
brings embarasment on you as you age.

Did you ever try to unstop a toilet and it didn't work?
Did you bring the hose inside to push it through first?
You run outside to see and nothings there,
then like a dingbat get down and look into the pipe so unaware!

"I did"

Did you ever have a snake that sounded like a rattler in your front yard?
And you run in the house grab the gun and peek out the door?
One foot inside and the other out,
and blast away but it made a weird sound.
I forgot our transam and the butane tank was there ,
and it made a queer sound a kinda funny twang on the air.
Oh I got the snake and you know what I did for I was scared? 
I got a ten foot two by four and lay it down on it then walked up there.

Oh here's one for you weedeater fools,
and I so loved my weedeater it's the perfect tool.
Only we had an electric fence wraped around the yard,
I just thought well I will be careful that shouldnt be too hard.
Yikes it hit me that metal buckle there in front,
and everytime I tried to take it off it would give me a punch.
My motherinlaw came down for she heard me that day,
and I had to have her go inside and cut it off and end the pain.

"Yep I did"

Heres another one and believe me I couldn't believe myself!
We had a water bed on an upstairs apartment and the stairs were hell.
I found a downstairs apartment and we had to move,
and for a whole day I spent sucking on that hose trying to get the water to move.
I carried a hose up there and got it all set up ,
I spent hours with that hose but with all that sucking it wouldnt give the water up.
My mouth was brused and my energy shot,
and my husband came home and saw me and out the window the hose he dropped.

"I did"

Here is one for you and it was with one of those water cooler for the house,
I tried to use a different jug on it but the water wouldnt come out.
So I poked a hole in the bottom so it could get some air,
and heck then it wouldn't stop water went everywhere .
So I quickly grabbed the jug and on the table it set,
and I mopped water until it was no longer wet.
I then reached for the bottle and to my surprise,
I couldnt figure out why it was so lite.

"I did "

I laugh at myself everyday
but if it weren't for my booboos my soul would never play.
It makes good conversation and shows we are human indeed,
and I can have fun even if there is only me .
We are all good at something and I guess mine is my poems,
but it never hurts to try other things
even if you do it wrong.
