I saw a ghost in the bayous mist
A slight of hand at best
I spun in time to see Him gone
To You I must confess
He seemed so grounded on the marsh
So gallant and so handsome
I wanted to believe in Him
In His truth and than some.
I felt His hand had touched my heart
Left His scent upon it
A touch so deep it stirred my soul
His touch, my world had balanced
Then I reached out to touch Him back
As gently as I could
But what I found was only air
Where flesh and blood I should
Into the fog He disappeared
And took with Him my heart
A foreign form of phantom love
A Pirate from the start
