Old Whalers Srimshaw Tales

Missing image
Across old brigantine vestige ships shell,
spray briny blues wind zephyr spoon-drift mist
where below, in floating forecastle hell,
sailors carved scrimshaw in boredoms midst.

Whale teeth canvass art, old salt renditions;
pen knife stories of whalers conditions.
Rugged times, wooden ships and billowed sails,
"Nantucket slay rides," ocean breeze and whales.
