As each new day begins
I say a little prayer
For my son Josh
and the military everywhere
Please keep them safe
and out of harms way
Give each the strength and hope
to face another day
Let each one feel the love
and hugs sent from home
Never let them for one minute
feel abandoned or alone
Without their courage, protection
love for their fellow countrymen
Our world would surely fall apart
where would we all be then?
So God if your listening
and I sure hope you are
Please carry my love and prayers
to all soldiers near and far
