Missing image
I believe in fantasy
and a wish upon a star
happy endings, fairy tales
dragons, unicorns and love


I am enchanted with the world
and the magic of a dream
seeing life through a child’s eyes
I can do most anything


the illumination of the blue moon
wonders of a warm gentle breeze
the beauty of an eagle’s soaring flight
these are the things I see

a child’s view of this life

    Excellent poem and congrats on the silver. I especially love the first two stanzas; in fact, they could almost stand alone as a fantastic poem because these two lines would make a powerful ending (my humble opinion):
    seeing life through a child’s eyes
    I can do most anything

    Keep writing.

    A lovely write and interpretation of the picture prompt. Imaginative. Good imagery, flow, rhyme and tone. Nice descriptives. Nice use of repetition in your closing verse. Good word choice, nice alliteration and assonance. Thank you for your entry.

    Though my fantasties and dreams have changed.....
    I guess I never grew out of that stage in life.

    Your words draw a beautiful picture - what could be, if we believe, if we are not discouraged. Children have this in them, that joy and anticipation, that wonder. I did enjoy!
