Happy Birthday Marion

A day was declared in a Forest of France;
this special day is a birthday surprise.
The Red Fox had planned it well in advance.
with music provided by Dragonflies,
All of the creatures will break out in dance
and even the Rabbits will vocalize.
The Peacocks will dress in their finest clothes;
this day is declared for Marion Rose.

“A Birthday Surprise”; the birds will declare,
they fly o’re the meadows spreading the news.
The Bears will wake and come out of their lair
even the small ones, “the Winnie the Poohs”.
Entertainment will start with the dancing mare
and the Raven will open, singing the blues.
Heads will pop out of holes and burrows;
Ballerinas will dance on the tips of their toes.

So come to the party, all will be there,
there’s plenty of food; bring your appetite.
Wear your best clothes; it’s a formal affair,
we’ll start in the morning and party all night.
So open your closet, get something to wear;
It’s Marion’s Birthday, she’s such a delight.
The Forest is full of love and good cheer.
“Happy Birthday Marion and have a blessed year”.

    I love form poetry, and here you turn it to a joyful use. Your rima overflows with exuberance for Marion's birthday party, and inviting the animals and birds is just as she would wish it. Thank you for bringing the party favors!

    Reading the comments below I am not at all sure a mere male is allowed to comment. But if I may, another beautiful poem from and to beautiful poetesses.

    this poem not only speaks to the inner child in me, which you have well discerned, my sister ... but having invited all the animal-spirits to my party, has been the greatest idea you could have had ... I must now go and check the spiritual message of all of those who have announced themselves, since I definitely don't want to miss their blessings !!!

    you are such a gem, into which animal-costume will you disguise yourself this time ?

    thank you sooo much, you made me very happy ...
