Stay Your Hand

Stay your hand,
Best I can.
Just don't say a word.
Don't make a sound.

Winter came and went,
Leaving snow white as fear
Like the roses on your headstone,
Always far too near.

I don't know
If I can write down the words
That'll keep you here.
Don't fire at your will.

Stay your hand,
Best I can.
Just don't say a word.
Don't make a sound.

Let's stand at the edge
Where Eden sank,
And sin still rains
This massacre of innocent.

Repair torn seams
With preemptive screams.
Dispel our fears
With tomorrow's tears.

Stay your hand,
Best I can.
Just don't say a word.
Don't make a sound.

I know how things stand
And I know how things were
But the world can repair itself
And people can heal.

I promise you
There's someone out there
Who loves you.

Stay your hand.

Needs to be edited and stuff. Just a random mix of words right now.

With a random combination of allusions to My Chemical Romance and Robert Frost...

I like the name of the title and the effect some of the words have, whether you made that intentional but instantly the words 'this massacre of innocence' 'repair torn seems' 'don't fire at will' instantly make this sound so strong and willfully enjoyable to read, let alone I'd assume listen to! I'm not a fan at all of MCR and haven't heard of the latter yet I can tell you I would have rather listen to this song on the strength of the lyrics. Verse's 4 and 5 are my personal favourites and even though you say it is unfinished, to me its a blinder.

      Really? Robert Frost, the poet?

Ha, by unfinished...I basically put down whatever came to mind. So it's not really in verses...It needs some organization. I think the first verse/stanza is going to become the chorus when I fix it.

      But thanks. ^^

Yeah serious...never heard of him. I sort of feel like I'm commiting poetical blasphemy, I can already feel the god of ap getting his lightning bolt out and getting ready to aim lol.
