Once I had a glimpse of you
I was dreaming
Immersed in the thought of you
Love left me a mirror image
Not exactly or precisely
How I remembered or imagined you
Your smile, your stare, drew me in
I thought I felt you touch me
Or was it just a breeze
Had you whispered something to me
Or was I still halfway in a stupor
Awake and also dreaming of you
Hoping I would see you clearly
And someday return to the love
That we had both lost
And encase ourselves
Into that wonderful light and emotion
We both want to remember

There's a very sad and haunting undertone to this piece, clever use of everyday language to stir the emotions. thanks for sharing and best wishes.
