We fight for what we must
Within life that’s full of hate
There are few that truly love
Few that wish others well
It’s easier to hate
Anyone who is different
With views others then your own
We keep our swords sharp against us
But our tongues sharper
For it is more likely an attack
Will come from words
Then from the ring of violence
Any who say this life is safe
But be taking something
Look around you
It is us to protect
We are the abused
The weak and broken
But we stand up against what others call normal
We are the angels of the hurt
The protectors of the abused
We are who we are…
And that’s how we will stay
