We’ve all had moments of reflection
of the times that shaped our lives.
How we ended up in certain jobs
or how we chose our wives.
I’ve looked at turning points
that have brought me to today.
In retrospect the biggest ones
were overlooked along the way.
The kindness of a stranger
that touched and inspired me
to help those less fortunate
devoting time and energy.
A simple conversation
with a woman at a store
that somehow touched my heart
and left me wanting more.
There are moments in our life
when we see our future bright
and suddenly we’re somewhere else
as if we’ve seen a light
that guides up down a different road
than the one we thought we chose.
We ponder and we mutter “God only knows”.
Whether God or fate or chance
that shapes our destiny
somehow we all end up
right where we were meant to be.

The little things?
The little moments?
They aren’t little.

Wow, this is beautiful, really touching. I loved it all but the last line really sums it up for me. Fantastic.

I sure do wish I'd hurry and end up where I'm supposed to be, cause I don't like where I am now
This is so touching and beautiful. Then again, it's your words, so naturally it's beautiful
