The Exception

The world is full of exceptions
Yet that wasn't always the case.
There was a time when cats were cats
And dogs were dogs and little lambs ate Ivy.

When the world was small
and we looked up at Mom
and never wondered
why she loved Daddy.

We smiled at the world
And the world smiled back
We laughed and we played
With nary a care

Unill suddenly it changed
with horror and death
turmoil and shame
Greed and hunger

But who was to Blame..?
