Autumn poem

When summer ends,
Fall begins,
And the colorful leaves start to drop.
Floating with ease
On the cool autumn breeze
In a pile , they finally stop.
Next to a jack-o-lantern,
Who smiles so bright,
Who's candle-lit face shines on Halloween night.
All the colors of fall come together,
Red, orange, yellow and brown.
Gathering, gathering like birds of a feather,
Summer is gone,
And fall is around.

Author notes

I wrote this poem when I was in fifth-grade, for computer class. So, yeah...

This is wonderfull. The imagery is so vivid. I think even if I had never seen the season change I could know from these words. Great poem! Especially considering your age.
