Her Name Is Haylie Winston

I am a loner, a dreamer,
I've always wanted
A girl buddy to talk to
Because boys don't
Always understand
Issues and problems
A girl has to go through.

Haylie Winston,
Her hair dyed light green,
She likes to wear black
With white-lined sleeves
And she likes tight jeans,
Her favourite food is
Sausages and peas pizza
Strange but that is
How I imagined her.

We both share the same
Taste in music,
We understand each
others' toilet-humour jokes,
Whenever we have time
to talk to each other we will,
We don't hide anything from each other,
When I like a guy I tell her,
When she likes a goth guy or a punk guy
(Those are her type of boys),
She will tell me and I would either
Giggle or tease her
And she would laugh it off.

She and I go
Crazy over The Academy Is...,
Bring Me The Horizon,
Bless The Fall,
Dead Eyes
And so many other bands,
Whenever we see posters of them
On myspace both of us
Would smile at each other
Thinking we'll meet them one day.

I wish there was a real
Haylie Winston in my life
But most of the girls
here like soft music,
are too sensitive for
toilet humour,
and they all either
way too mature for me
or too immature for me
So what I do is go into my
room and talk to my imaginary friend,
Tell her about the girls or boys I hate,
Both of us would roll our eyes and
Frown at the world.

Author notes

An Imaginary Friend.

I always imagine Haylie would one day exist as a friend..a girl bestfriend...i do have a lot of guyfriends but sometimes a girl mate would be great.

I like it. I understand the fact that other people don't like the same kinds of music. My friends laugh when they steal my i-pod and read the songs on my fav playlist. It is a jumble of TSO (trans siberian Orcestra for those who don't know) Howard Shore (lord of the rings), Country Stars and Stix (renagade is awsome). The fact that other people find it hard to laugh at your jokes, I find that too, only dif is, they never understand my jokes because they are inside ones with my friends.

Don't give up hope finding a girl friend. There are people out here just like you... and don't forget it.
Oh, yeah, almost forgot, AWSOME POEM!!!

I thought a little rhyme would have been dandy. But you wrote this nicely. I bet I'll be able to connect to this when I'm older. I hope you can check my entry out, too. Great job, and thanks for sharing!
