Everyday a raven tethered
I hide from your anger
Avoiding your cold, hard stare
Despite the frost
It burns straight through my back
Bruises clothe my body
Never allowed outside
Without every inch covered
There can't be an hints of what you do
Every night to me when you throw fits
I'm a raven crying to the world
Like a ghost in a haunted house
Do you know the consequences
If I didn't lie for you
Or deny any form of abuse
When will you set my raven free
Unclip and watch me fly
Release me from these lies
I so carefully hide behind
You're nothing but a sadistic lion
Ready to pounce upon your next prey
Like torture as you set me free
Just to have me enclosed in your claws again
Claustrophobia developed from such treatment
Black raven singing in the night
Come to my window, let me jump
I'm sick of hiding behind lies
If you won't set me free
I'll be left to do it myself

i loved this poem. its so true and powerful. especially the lines:
