Highly reminiscent of Joe Walsh's Life's Been Good. This would work as country or pop. Nice flow, but would be better with the music. I love the irony.

Nice lyrics and rhyme. I love the attitude that shines through the words. I think a lot of people can relate to this poem, the feeling of moving on to bigger and better things, never looking back, even if it isn't their dream to become a country star. I like it; haha I had started to sort of sing the lyrics as I read! Good job.
