I saved all your letters
in a box made of wood
and I read them now and then
Mom would say I should
I remember your last breath
upon this dying earth
and nothing will come close
to your Motherly worth
Four years have passed now
and I truly miss you so
especially on Mothers Day
to breakfast we would go
Flowers I would pick
with love in my heart
and Mom I really miss you
I’m sad we had to part
But when that day comes around
you are always on my mind
there’s only one Mom in my life
all my memories are so kind

Beautiful
A beautiful tribute to your mother, she would of been watching over your shoulder as you penned these beautiful words for her, I know this because my mother did the same with me, can always feel her presense when she visits. I too have lost a mum.
I wish you all the best in the contest my friend.
Much love and happiness to you.

That is bitter sweet and so compelling. I guess one never knows how much of an angel someone is, how much a blessing, until we don't have them there. This one is so visual too, the letters in a box, the flowers, and the special mothers day breakfast. I like this one a lot.

well done for I know and feel the love and sentiments with precious eternal memories to hold dear in your heart. I know how hard it is at certain holidays like Mother's Day as Today I have had candles going since I got up and they shall continue til I go to bed as I am honoring both my Mom and my Mother-in-law whom passed away exactly 2 weeks apart in 2003. thank you for your entry and many blessings always xxx
