Being a mother is more than a noun,
It's even more than just a verb
And sometimes, a state of mind.
It's the ultimate test
Of one's love and patience.
It's the ultimate test
Of one's stamina and agility;
The job is just never done.
Being a mother means
A lot of late nights;
From bottle feedings,
To high fevers,
From scary nightmares,
To "not enough stuffed animals."
It's the one job in the world
Where an income is never given,
But when that sweet smile
And gentle innocent eyes
Stare back at you,
You wonder...
This is the best job in the world!
Being a mother is more than a noun,
It's even more than just a verb
And sometimes...it's a state of mind.
Author notes
option A: If you're a mother yourself, give some advice, on pregnancy or childrearing

Mothers often don't get the credit that they really and truly deserve. My mother worked two jobs and still found time to take care of me and my brother. It's not an easy job by any means, but it's one I know she would never have given up for anything. This is a great write.
