The true modern day epic heros in training.
The famlies they leave behind are destined for greatness.
Though that's what we are lead to believe?
The media doesn't show the torn families,
The soldiers leave behind.
They don't see the inner torment a soldier has,
never seeing the children's first birthday.
We do not see the tears these heros shed.
They are hidden even from comrads and superiors.
We do not see the blood that was shed,
and the years of nightmares to come for the fallen.
Living or dead,
these soldiers are damned from the begining.
Living normal lives is no longer an option,
They will always be plagued with what they did.
For the fallen souls the solders are,
they silent cry at night.
For dead friends and fellow soliders.
Also for the family they most likely will leave behind in death.
Author notes
There is a side that we, the majority, don't see usually with the soldiers that come back from war alive. they are also scarred and damaged too.
i've seen the side effects of war and what it does to people years down the road. as a daughter of a retired air force officer and the granddaughter of a Korean vet, i think this has to be said.

So very true, I am married to a Korean vet, he did not see what most soldiers did, but again they all had their share of war and then torn to shreds over the demise of lives, thank you for this and good luck...
