Mendable, this heart strings
A melody too soulful for the weak.
Eyes pour emotions that lips
Withhold when they speak.
And falter, ego flails
And persists against the noise.
Overdosed in self superiority
The little man ridicules to annoy.
Can only see what you want to see
Until the truth camouflages among the lies.
How may one direct the light into your eyes
When a conceited shield is your disguise?
Mendable, your exterior bricks
Into thicker molds.
Shapes cruelly a form that stings
Against hearts too frail for ease.
