Have You Ever Wondered?

                                            Have you ever wondered
                                            What it would be like…

If the two of us,
                  Best friends for life,
Were more than just best friends?

Where our two hearts would entwine
                  In each other’s heart,
Each heart lighting the other’s way?

Where each second spent together
                  We wouldn’t dare trade it,
                                  Even for the moon?

Where each conversation we have
                  Can last for hours
With neither of us even whispering a word?

Where each glimpse we get of the other,
Our hearts leap as far as the stars
On just catching the other‘s eyes?

                        Have you ever wondered…
                          What it would be like,
If we could live these moments with each other
                                Once again?

…Have you?

I like how you wrote this, especially the structure which was different than most I've seen before.

edit: I thought it looked familiar, I see I commented already on it.

This is a really well written, heartfelt piece. I liked the structure a lot and feel it added to the poem.

The feelings here are brilliant and the bulid- up was just as good. The structure is different and it adds a sort of different depth and interpretation to the poem.

the repitions help to emphasize the point and the last line ended the poem off very well.

    sighs wistfully

I have felt that same curious, hopeful wonder and the same sorrow for it. A wonderful write. The flow of the emotions in this write tugs at my heart and reminds me of past hopes, dreams.

    I love these lines:

    "If the two of us,
    Best friends for life,
Were more than just best friends?
Where our two hearts would entwine
    In each other’s heart,
Each heart lighting the other’s way?"

    Beautiful write!

I felt that way about a close friend I had about seven years ago. It didn't go anywhere, but that is okay by me; I found someone to love! Sometimes things work out, sometimes they don't. I believe however, that if one thing doesn't work out, something better will; even if it takes a lot of time! Great poem!

I love this poem. I especially love the last few lines, they were especially thought provoking and full of love. I know a lot of people, especially me can relate to this poem. I wish this poem was written a few months back, for it would've made that part of my life a bit easier on me. I hope you and the one you wrote this poem for find true happiness and remember one of my favorite quotes, "Love is friendship caught on fire." If you think it is meant to be, pursue it with all your power and heart.

I like this very much, someone sounds very much in love. This is a very well written poem. (I would give applause but I have no points!)
