you are like this or that
I am not definite
yet even after many years
I could not paint your specimen
whenever I form the border of yours
I discover that I trespass
I test my education time and again
every time I am fallacious
I know I can't make the figure of life
until I serve as a gentleman...

Congratulations on the HM
Interesting metaphor with multiple intrepretations. Depth of thought is intriguing. Thanks for the read.

I know I can't make the figure of life
until I serve as a gentleman...
a very nice thought, coming as usual from the spiritual poet..this speaks through very interesting images...and the picture is apt as well.

Very interesting ... I read this piece three ways: one-where the narrator writes of another person, two-where they write of themself, and three-where they write of their God (if they believe in God). The picture certainly prompted a very thought-provoking and meaningful piece. The lines are all drawn and now each must interpret for themself. Well done! ~Elizabeth

What an interesting way to draw a number of comparisons. Also: such a beautiful description of privacy, right, adequacy, and other values. Your reference point: 'gentlemanness' is brilliant. I bow in humbleness as thoughts emanate from this write. Frans

"whenever I form the border of yours I discover that I trespass"...Marvelous line...I have experienced this myself a time or two...as for being a gentleman, I leave that to you.
...Best of luck in the contest. I think you have taken an interesting tack with the picture prompt. Peace, Rhonda
