love’s made real in the sharing

dedicated to Cheryl

You’re bigger than any poem,
complex as a simple haiku --
still, your open heart holds me.

This heart with its showers:
tears for Africa; rain rushing
from the coast to wash the city’s streets.

Hear the dance?  Your swirling
energies moving with the pulsing earth,
swaying with waves rush, flying free with the wind.

When love flies free from the heart,
yours sweeps the currents, leaves blessings
for all who love you, smiles echoing in the spirit.

I am richer for each day you share with me,
may we celebrate the tenderness we enjoy
may there always be springs for you to bloom.

Author notes

I missed your birthday cause my eye problem kept me from writing and the computer. I figure better late than never. I had half written back in April finished the rest today.

We live in a universe that finds cuts easier than compliments, complaints come quicker than pats on the back. I like to work up stream and celebrate those who give my life light. Thanks for sharing your pleasure with this.
      Love, Tom B.

It takes time, all good things do. No matter how it may seem like love at first sight, time brings the truth to the moment. Each one of my friends on this site knows in their heart of hearts they are close to me and I will always stand for them. I love openly and completely, it is part of who I am. You know. Some of us are just that way.
      Love,
      Tom B.

    Very Touching

Your heart was in the right place, my friend. Cheryl really spreads her heart around, especially to those in Africa, who need all the kindness they can find, and in Cheryl, they have found a voice! What a lovely belated birthday gift!
    Love,
    Shana

The is a time, one we too often let pass, to celebrate and sing songs of glory and greatness about those we love. I was lucky that this one was caught before it slipped off the page and became just a maybe in memory. Thanks for sharing the joy you found here.
      Love, Tom B.

...Have I ever been completely speechless?? Well there is a first time for everything and this is just a pure joy to me, one because it's from you and two because you just infuse my heart with song and love and friendship and I adore you for it. Love, C

It does not take good eyes to know you ahve written from the soul and the soul understands.

Thanks Carol. Not the deepest of metaphors or thickest analogies but your are correct where the love comes from.
      Love, Tom B.
