I watch the night while star streams pass
Through the bow of far Orion
Above the smitten heights of Zion
Then through a lake like crystal glass.
Deep in the reeds above that lake
I mark the ghosts of concubines
Who rise when Achenar aligns
Above the menhir in the brake.
And in the moonlit silver greens
On rushes and wet verdant lawns,
I see before a thousand dawns
The spirits of Egyptian queens.
And where the feral shadows lie,
Before the night gives way to Ra,
This magic shouts its last hurrah
Then like dead leaves they wither, die.
Please tell me what you think

This is lovely! I think you chose the perfect rhyme structure for the image in this poem; it adds to the magic.

Superb
Ah, an extremely fine write, indeed my friend. As always, your imagery, rhythm and rhyme are just fine.
Hope everything continues to go well for you.
I didn't know very much about giant stars, so I'm sharing a bit of research:
