Lifeless people wander from day to day.
Passing each other by without a clue.
Soulless bodies covering the world in a haze of darkness
thicker than the smog they create.
Smile-less faces look but don't see.
Hopeless lives corrupting the beauty around them.
Children crying, hurting.
Children growing in pain and misery.
Becoming another number of the faceless, soulless, hopeless masses.
We cannot find our way.
We have nothing to come together for.
We have no place to turn.
And yet the world turns.

Dang. As I was reading this, i noticed it sounded a lot like something Corey Taylor (lead singer for Slipknot and Stone Sour) or John L. Cooper (lead singer for Skillet) would write. It truly portrays a vision of the world. Not enough of us see it for what it really is and you say that in this poem. Wow. Best of luck and good write

OMG
I can't even get over that you compared it to something the singer from Slipknot would use. I love Slipknot, well what I've heard anyway. Thanx so much, that really made my evening!

Very true there sister. Very true indeed. This is the best part that I like.
"We cannot find our way.
We have nothing to come together for.
We have no place to turn.
And yet the world turns."
Funny how the world spins, yet no one knows how it can keep fighting.
I wish you luck! Love your younger sister,
Kystal Angel~
