I heard the call, whispered on the wind,
to touch the skies, as life beings.
Reaching for it, the dawning light,
as life falls from the clouds
soothing rain and thunderous sounds.
Echoes of power,released and found,
lights the sky, arms toward heaven bound.
Rain Maiden,Daughter of the Storm
sing to me the sound of power
falling from hand to ground-

I have a daughter *shock* Ok, being goofy this morning. Seriously, I do like this. Nice take on the prompt. Thank you for entering and good luck. Storm

Well written. I love the flow and the rhyme. The 2nd stanza holds all the power. It kinda goes with all the storm activity we've had going here in Indiana today and tonight. Keep the ink flowing and good luck! Love and hugs...

thanks Donna,
I really like the way this one ended up, my first draft, is missing alot of it, started to write type it up for here and it flowed much easier the second time around.

Wonderful
What a great poem. I like the flow of words and the imagery. Transports one into another realm altogether. Inspires reverence for God and true worship.
