My Tomorrow

This sadness that bleeds inside
if you could feel
the indescribable gloom
the days march on
yet nothing shakes
this terrible plague.
It's like an intimate
part of your body, it won't go away-
it's the thoughts that fester
(they always repeat)
those experiences,
(that you always remember)
why won't they leave you alone?

You keep holding on
(and crying out)
got to believe in yourself
(believe in you)
the gloom won't last forever
(it never does)
got to stop and smile
breath in the air of life
and wait for tomorrow
(your tomorrow)
Tomorrow is the hope
for a brighter day, a better day
I believe in tomorrow
(my tomorrow)
and when it comes
I will rejoice!

sometimes we all feel a certain amount of depression ...
    and you're right..
    we should tell ourselves
that everything is gonna be ok... and everything is small stuff that everyone can work through!
    Interesting perspective my friend!
Keep penning on one stroke at a time!
