Where Love is a Continuum

Expostulatory theology,
interpretations provoked
a nanomoment of doubt.
To question
brought recrimination
at my wavering faith.
An apostate moment
where the doubter
stands at the interdiction
of allegiances,
inducts him
or loses him
forever

Now,
I had to peel your sternum,
reach inside to touch
your phantasms,
to ensure
what my doubt suspected.
Where love is a continuum,
and a little
proves not enough,
the moment of seeing
inducts me
or loses me
forever.

Glorious! I felt mesmerized by the entirety of this
far-reaching write. The repetition at both ends emphasizes the impact of hesitation and all that
it speaks of within that tiny void. I especially
felt: "I had to peel your sternum,
    reach inside to touch
your phantasms"...so very potent in its intentions
to focus the reader on what is being said & felt.
Bravo for having this recognized with gold! Blue

Thank you Blue. I am humbled at your completion of the cirle of this piece. Thank you for noticing the structure and a grab phrase. far reaching is beyond my scope, but I am honored you thought so, especially as we stand in the moon shadows of your work. Thank you. RW

Doubt from within, and the word selection enhances your poem greatly. Inductive and deuctive reasoning, doubt can pop up within any parameter set within the mind. "An apostate moment" is a great phrase, you wonder if Descartes thought this himself at one time or another. Thank you so much for your entry.

thank you for your kindness. There are many themes stemming from the concept and experience of doubt I like exploring. Thank you for the contests. It is well toiled field, with notions still to unearth.

Most in the contest seem to focus on the disconcertion of doubt. I tend to think of it as a cleansing impetus towards discovery. But for any preferring and prioritizing foundation, belief, trust and things that convey a sense of reliability ... doubt can be disrupting.

      Thanks for the contest

you J are always so kind. those of us who have been in these spaces know what a powerful provacature is doubt, how she can fling us down an icy slope with crushing persuasion.

Thank you as always for reading.
