He was my friend for over seven years
Seven long wonderful years
Just last summer I found I liked him a lot more
I thought he liked me more too
His actions showed me he cared
His words fed my soul
It didn't last
Not at all
A week ago, we all played a prank on him
Just to be funny
We put pinecones in his bag
Just to raise a laugh
When he found them, he yelled and screamed
And then he flipped me off
He walked away with me still staring
My heart broken in two
Yesterday I wrote a note to him
Begging him to forgive me
He sent one back
And told me that he never would
I cried during classes
And let loss wash over me
I still don't know if he ever loved me
Any time at all
I regret every part of that prank we pulled
I lost my best friend, and I gained a broken heart

My name is Shannon Green, and a few days ago, my friend flipped me off, and it ruined our friendship. He hates me, and I am still really sad about it.
