But of what?
And when?
When did the days turn to weeks?
Then the weeks into years
And when did the essence of obtainment
First provoke fears?
There’s a realization in here…
An illuminating palpitation, that radiates its’ cares
My heart—it made a ‘come-back’
No longer blocked
No more stopping its’ flow
There was a lot of pressure on it
But the hearts truly know…
My heart dropped one day
From its’ lessons, I grow
I’m going for purity and that’s all I can say…

Amazing!
I absolutely love how you did the beginning of this piece! I love how you took the word "dropped" and made a "curtain of words" out of it. You are so creative and talented, Dear Poet..

This piece is so powerful and emotionally stirring. The combination of the imagery and the rhyme in this is so beautifully done.. The above lines are exactly how a lot of us feel when we start to realize we aren't kids anymore. But I see it like this, if you never forget that feeling of being a kid, you can be a kid in your heart forever..
"But the hearts truly know…
My heart dropped one day
From its’ lessons, I grow
I’m going for purity and that’s all I can say…"
I think most of us, especially children (or children at heart) want purity for themselves. It is so hard to achieve that in 'this' life. The heart knows more than we give it credit for, and if we would just listen a little more carefully, then we could achieve that ever elusive purity.. I love this piece so much. It is so beautiful in presentation and in the message within it. Bravo, bravo, bravo!!!
