when fires seek their ways.

 

Brave they are no doubt,

commitment is their middle name,

when they perform their act,

    The background is powerful and so well done. I like your poem, too. The border, also well done, has a historical feel which I don't think adds to the power of the background. I could see this border used with a textered
    background.

    Just my opinion, though.
