High up in the mountains
I gaze upon these flowers
Little tiny bells of many colors
Like natures own carpet
that has been laid down
for nobody to see
I am taken by the beauty
that I must walk right through
guilty with every step
Colors of the rainbow
so soothing to my eyes
it makes me feel so high
Tiny little flowers
hanging on for dear life
in conditions so harsh
Life it seems so short
for such beauty will soon
fade away in the wind
But the memories
shall linger in my mind
until the end of all my days

A lovely write. I like the vision of colorful tiny bells carpeting the hills. Well written. Thank you for sharing in the contest.
