God's Garden

Missing image
A kaleidoscope of colors,
like a feast for the eyes,
carpets the ground.

From passionate purple
to lime like greens and yellows;
original oranges cover hills.

Flowers fill the senses,
sights, smells abound;
petals soft to the touch.

Breath taking beauty
reminds me of God's garden;
splendid natural nature.

    MMM, the variety, and if you think some plants are edible literally too

    I like how everything is poured upon a page in stable alliteration and happiness. "like a feast for the eyes, carpets the ground" is interesting, so it isn't for the mouth only because you don't eat directly like an animal lol, I know I'm silly but it does point out land beauty. Showing me the menu of brightness in the next stanza is sweet, and yes it's on it's own nurturing flavor so to speak when combined and not removed, but looked at for possibly a long time. I also enjoy your use of citrus comparison for emphasis. Ooh, I was speculating line six of this write, oh my that's poetically picturing the richness never seen before even in that range... ha, that's unique.

    Also am taken by each perspective you give me in the basics, like instead of just throwing it out that blossoms are in the air or fields, but each specific sense. There has already been more than the typical fragrance, though what's new and true for me from this poem is the awareness, always lovely.

    The ending sums it up for how everything could come about, who gave the ability to not suffocate. A nice translation more than just 'wow' back to beginning times. "natural nature" also made me giggle because of your indicating language.

    Not complex but not blandly simple!

    The opening line catches our attention with the lovely consonnance. You have used alliteration to wonderful effect in this short and affirming verse. Well done. Peace, Liz
