A True Friend

A true friend is always there,
Even when it's raining
And when the sun is shining,
Always seeking the best way for you
To shine and blossom and grow.

Neatly folded,
Keeping its treasure hidden inside,
Slowly it opens, like a romance,
Beauty revealing.

Rain and wind, sunshine and showers,
Glowing hearts, crazy days and hours.
The dark night has gone, a new day's begun...
It's written in your eyes -
The laughter... light, the fun!

The compass of my heart
Always points to you...
Wherever in the world you go,
I want to be there too!

    Well done on this poem. I really like the last stanza, it reminds me of someone I know, they always say they want to be where I am. Well done on this write and thank you for entering my contest
