Starlight spreads from her silks in the glamour,
The elf princess walks an aisle of tall oaks,
Elfin bells chime, a marvelous clamor,
The royals all wearing gossamer cloaks.
Dew from the flowers hangs down this morning,
Jewels from the ear of a rich Ethiop,
Red rubies all her small throat adorning
Purloined from lands where the gray goblins shop.
Where is the groom for this little darling,
With birds singing sweetly near the cool lake?
Lark and sparrow, thrush and the starling
Warble and sing and this fey music make.
There on the back of a robin flying,
The groom is so handsome in the cool air,
Below his lovely elf bride is sighing,
As sunlight kisses her long crimson hair.
Starlight spreads from her silks in the glamour,
The elf princess walks an aisle of tall oaks,
Elfin bells chime, a marvelous clamor,
The royals all wearing gossamer cloaks.
