It was all quite livable,
Blissful even,
Until the people came.
They smiled, so I let them into the garden,
And without hesitation they came,
Set down their loads,
And began to dig,
Shovels delving deep into the soft soil,
Picks piercing the innocent earth,
I watched them for a moment,
Watched until they began to attack the lilies,
Then realizing their malice,
Kindly requested that they leave,
But they only grinned and continued.
I frantically waved but they only attacked the garden more fiercely,
More ferociously,
Flowers flew,
Ground parted,
And I stumbled,
Fell,
Into the earth’s gaping mouth,
Into the abyss,
Smirking, their purpose accomplished,
They departed,
But the garden was unlocked,
Open to anyone,
Cheap,
Destroyed,
Ravaged,
Gone.

awww it's so sad... but yeah, very taunting in my mind, it's like you are evil and want the world's suffering to continue, but don't worry it will, by the looks of things...

Hey, nice its like you are being God and your garden of eden is turning into the garden of hell that is reality.
It rends me also of that chapter in the Worthing Saga when Jason has to be God to all those people who were on Sumac for too long. and it reminds me of The Hitchikers Guide to The Galaxy when the guy sees the new earth before it is finished being created.
I like this alot very deep made me think about how we are ruining ourselves and other people by the way we live.

Nice read.
It reminds me of the scene in Cinderella where her gown is ripped to shreds by her stepsisters. Keep writing!
