If I could turn back time and see what you have done to me,
I know what they say you've done,
But as far as I can see,
You've done nothing.
You lead me to believe it was all my fault,
Her sudden disappearance,
So I stayed with you,
All day with you to help your tears,
Trapped by your side in your prison of fears.
You told me things,
You held me down,
Penned me away from any freedom,
But I believe you love me,
Despite other good reasons.
Everyone kept telling me,
You were in the wrong,
How was I to believe them?
It was like some pathetic song playing over and over again,
All the things you kept telling me over and over again!
Well I'm tired of this and I'm tired of that,
I think you were the one who was wrong!
That's it I said it,
I've finished you off so long,
You're pathetic do you know that?
I was supposed to be your little girl,
The one you'd protect!
I took the blame for everything,
Because you told me it was me,
You said had I never been born,
Well it's a little too late,
You're a little too gone,
You're a little too wrong,
THATS WHAT I BELIEVE!
Author notes
Not for the light at heart...Let's just say I had a terrible childhood. My folks weren't exactly picture perfect, and I was obviously the one to BLAME!

Oh my, never the child's fault, we are born due to what the fates decreed. You have used your background of your childhood to write a good poem based on the prompt, and never doubt your poetic talents, they are excellent.
