Poignant despondence
suffocating optimism
surge of pain
bleeding out of heart
creating a miasma
of incessant affliction
followed by the shadows of past
as the vicious strokes of destiny
continue to write my excruciating fate
consumed by the darkness

but time’s therapeutic cures
effluences hope and alacrity
a promise of new dawn

    I love the hopefulness at the end. A beautiful way of saying today is painful but there is always tomorrow. I enjoyed your word choice, its nice to see something a little different. keep it up.
