The Dark Ship

Bring me my spell book, and bring me my sword,
Down from my castle, then down to the sea,
Then past the stone cairns by the haunted lea
I’ll walk those decks where my dark ship is moored.

I’ll cut her tow ropes, and set her asail
Over the ocean and over the waves,
She’ll ride, my dark ship, my crew all of knaves,
Under the low moon that hangs deathly pale.

Through all the storm clouds and through the cold rain
I’ll weather the blizzard, the wind and the squall,
Through Winter, Summer the Spring and the Fall,
I’ll ride on the cusp of a hurricane!

Under dark stars the grim night grows chill
Ghost ships accost me before and behind,
The Flying Dutchman and Drake’s Golden Hind
Lead this flotilla and run with a will!
