All around me, I can feel the flowers
But I cannot see, cannot smell
Like a lingering thought that will not be lost
The flowers are there.
How maddening to feel the flowers
Without knowing their soft scent
I have lost them, but I know
The flowers are there.
How I despair as I feel the flowers
But I cannot know their gentle hues
I cannot see them, but I can feel
The flowers are there.
Oh, how sad to feel the flowers
To walk amongst them and never know
Surrounded by my darkness, to me
The flowers are no longer there.
Author notes
I dunno, I think it came out well enough, but... any critiques? Please?

I thought of Helen Keller when I read your poem-what did she think of such things? Sense images are not enough, to know something is true. This is a very good poem on the prompt, thank you so much.
