The Greatest Gift Imaginable

The apprentice asked his master;

"What gift may I give to you
in thanks for all you have done for me?"

The master smiled and bowed,
responding thoughtfully;

"Would you be so kind
as to listen to my story?
That would be a great gift!"

"Yes, master. Please tell your story."

"Infinity wanted to know itself
piece by piece, bit by bit.
Not as a single infinite concept,
but to know itself as potential
by realizing all possibilities.
So, infinity created a multitude
of perspectives to capture
every aspect of itself complete.
Each perspective adds to the
splendor of the infinite with the
addition of its uniqueness and
its color, temper, and manner.
A thoughtful perspective asked infinity
what it could give as a gift
in thanks for the potential
it had received for free.
Infinity said, '
Go be!
For simply by being you are
the splendor which completes me.'
Perspective put its arms around itself
and understood it was infinity
and had already given and received
the greatest gift imaginable."

    OK...tiny typo in second to last line, 'received'...'i' before 'e' except after 'c'... I won't take off points for spelling.

    This is beautifully penned and an interesting logic to progressive rationality.
    In mathematics, locus of points in a plane such that the sum of the distances to two fixed points is a constant. The two fixed points are called foci. An alternate definition would be that the path traced out by a point whose distance from a fixed point, called the focus, maintains a constant ratio less than one with its distance from a straight line not passing through the focus, called the directrix. I love it and you!

    Love,
    Amera♥

      So, the foci gets fixed by the dominatrix, and the path traced out points to something very progressive. Thanks for the wonderfully illuminating comment! I love it and I love you.
