Stay In The Way

The poker hand that is the best
is the one played most under stress.
The uglier the building is before a new face
is the more praise it will get when finally replaced.

In other words and in other ways, there are good, better and best days.
But don't worry where the line falls for you,
'cause the less in the 'bucket' the more is due.
So run to your future by your mate's side
and know that something good's coming with the next tide.

Refuse to look back, stay focused on track, that's the slack.
look to the hills from where cometh your help and smile.
Life is indeed shining, even amidst the cloud that's sighing,
and your way was made when you first took your stand to chance
all your worries and cares are but par per the course.

One moment in time, you became most sublime and grabbed faith.
Now steady your pace, and slow walk this race, in God's grace.
The day will bloom soon and God will make that room for you.
Your steps have been ordered and yes, all is well, rain or shine.
This is God's plan that we discern our times and proceed, in spite.

There never would be a bright shining day, but for the dark night.
hang in and hang on, though battered and torn, don't be forloin.
There's a special song flowing your way to release your new day.
and you'll look back and say, this is good, if you stay in the way.

Don't try to opt out of anything...none of the pain or anything else...just keep to your path, until the sun overtakes you and you wake up in a day made just for the two of you...wishing you well, no doubt - I'm out.

    i really liked this line ''cause the less in the 'bucket' the more is due'. it gives hope. when things are going really, really badly it's heartening to think that all the good day due you are piling up

      Ian, thanks for your vote of confidence shared in this review, for I so believe...I believe in miracles, well, I am a miracle of grace from God, I've been through hell and now am about to taste a 'bit' of heaven, along with my friends lol

    Awesome poem. Marriage or any relationship is strengthen by the trials as well as the good times. Taking chances and working thru the pain only makes it better. You penned a truthful Psalm, hope many get to read.
