From the day of creation
Through the present
Mankind has sought to see destruction
But our innermost emotion
For protection of all that is of beauty
Will seek peace of everlasting proportion
The eyes of a child shall lead
But the peace of humanity
The protection of humanity
Will be the brightness of hope
And the desire of strength
Will fly with the most beautiful bird
And it will be----
------------A Dove For Peace
Author notes
Ghandi's words of wisdom is indeed true. Everyone must do their share of keeping the Earth healthy and keep humanity honest.
I am not sure if this meets the contest's criteria.

Thank You!!
Thank You for Your entry: A Dove For Peace
This piece tugged at Spirit and the message regarding
the eyes of a child...speaks volumes...
I am being shown how there are negative energies
that try to come around You and infiltrate...
yet feeling You focus on what Your mother said...
what Your father said...they have raised You
in such a manner...I'm seeing...
her words...run through Your veinsj
along with his~~
Doves may have taken to the skies
but their message, their legacy stays with You
You make a difference even if at times it may not
feel like it~~
Powerful images to touch deep
These lines grabbed and pulled~
The eyes of a child shall lead
But the peace of humanity
The protection of humanity
Will be the brightness of hope.
Beautiful take on the prompt~
Thank You for sharing Your Heart also Spirit!
Best wishes to You in the contest Sweet Soul
**Judging will be done shortly...
Many blessings too
and much love~ Desire~*~

It sure meets the contest's criteria and what not, and although the thought isn't necessarily shared by me, it's beautifully worded, although... you should restrain yourself to 10 lines and not more, like the contest says.

Can I ask you, what does more or less mean? That was in the parenthesis.
