Oh what a wonder is man
What a joy is the mind of man
That thinks the thoughts of ancient truths
All bound in neurons, in receptors
Laid out like a complicated
Network beyond mortal ken
Today there's something wrong within
This network beyond mortal ken
It seems that life is overwhelmed with
Frozen gears and empty spaces
This great wonder, deactivated
like a prisoner in my mind
But come tomorrow I'll be fine
Tomorrow I'll be flying high
And writing of the moonlit sky
And milk and honey flowing through
The promised land within my soul
The mind of man now firing fully
Flowing like the finest wine
Oh yes, tomorrow I'll be fine
What makes us break?
What mends us whole?
What makes a map
Into a soul?
The answer is in front of us
But we can't see it for the dust
That blinds us to the true inspiring
Splendor of unbalance in our mind
Author notes
Even an imbalanced machine can be beautiful sometimes. The splendor of the universe can be found in many places, but I prefer to focus on life, as it is the most mysterious and wondrous of all.

Wisely written and a great feast to chew upon
So true, we do hear the splendor of many in poetry,
and it is truly humbling, joyous and amazing.
Wisely written too...that when the splendor of life,
seems a dull dull view...to remember each day will
bring new splendors a new.....and yes if it were always
perfect and no unbalances how boring would acrostic be
to view? i could tease the haiku writers too, but that's
just not nice.
Thankyou, i appreciate this...and you are right,
splendor is worth the uncomfortable inbalance sometimes!
