Wake up call.

The world spins in a blur,
Passing me by.
Swirls in front of my eyes.
Black mixing with the colors I once saw.
The darkness overwhelming my sight.
Blackness consumes my mind,
And a large 'thud' is heard all around.
My body lay limp on the cold floor,
Unconsciousness numbing my limbs.
Struggling to move,
To break free.
Don't try to break the spell of sleep,
Just relax.
Resisting only makes it worse.
Just fall into the dark slumber.
And be at peace.
Until I am forced out of my rest,
by the Emergency rescue team.
Air being forced down my throat,
Filling my lungs.
My eyes flashing open,
To see such worried faces crowded closely.
I groan as I cough and gasp for air,
Begging them to stop forcing it in.
My heart races once more to a normal beat.
Wake up.

I'm not sure if you did... but if you treat this as a metaphor to life, and losing your way, and such, this poem is so deep it's incredible.
Like the first part is someone lost, confused, etc. for example, some sort of addiction, bad childhood, societal exile, or something like that. Then later, someone(s) come along and help them to come back to reality, and truly live life.

Anyway, that's how I took it.

    Great stuff, dear.
