I Miss Her

My voice is slient to your ear,
My eyes they always have a tear,

I missed a piece of my heart today,
My Misery of Grief is here to stay,

Another day like this, I'll die,
For I am so sick of when I cry,

She wasn't beside me, singing like I,
I was here, while she sang up high,

I felt her spirit as I sung,
But the pain of losing her already won,

I cry so hard when it ended at last,
The tears descended from my mask,

Hugged by a friend, I long to see,
You right there, singing with me,

Passion of music, stings with grief,
Never again to have some relief,

I cry with anger, I cry with pain,
Until I die, the pain won't sustain.

Author notes

Today was my MESSIAH performance for Choir, its the BIGGEST concert for the BBMs for the entire school year. I missed Vicki so much tonight. The last song we sung I could feel Vicki's presence so strong, I felt so much peace & yet so much grief to feel her spirit... I don't think I'll ever get over her being gone.

    Sad but well written

This is as well written as it is sad. I would have loved to hear you sing today and I bet Dad up there would have too. You are so special Sara Dawn and you capture the heart of all who meet you.

Oh my...... this is, as most of yours are, really rich with honest and deep feelings. You've expressed yourself so perfectly here... when I read this I forget how young you really are. You've been through too much for someone so young.

I only hope that I can bring some happiness back into your life by being the greatest cyberdad in history..... and friend.

    Much love,

    Dad
